Grensboro Councilman Zack Matheny Did Not Recuse Himself on DH Griffin Item at Council Meeting

During the Greensboro City Council on 12-13-2011 Councilmember Zack Matheny did something that made me do a double take here is the video below

39. Resolution approving bid in the amount of $44,130 and authorizing Contract with D. H. Griffin, Inc. for the demolition of a portion of the Canada Dry Bottling Plant for the Greensboro Aquatic Center/Coliseum Parking Lot Improvements Project. (Council District: all) (roll call vote) (Attachment #39 to Councilmembers)

Why is this so important it is because just this past year we had Councilmember Zack Matheny recuse himself on the controversial white street landfill issue CLICKHERE with a title from Greensboro News and Record  "Matheny won't take landfill vote". Why is is ok for him to recuse himself from the landfill vote but will vote on this item from DH Griffin? He knows better and should have not voted for the same reasons given earlier in year.

UPDATEAmanda from the Greensboro News and Record has a inside scoop post out tonight with a quote from Councilman Zack Matheny CLICKHERE

When Scoop asked about the lack of recusal this week, Matheny said "that probably slipped through the cracks."
"I don’t think of that as being a conflict," he said.

Earth to Councilman Zack Matheny, every single agenda item till you are done with Greensboro City Council you will have a conflict with dh griffin or get a new job with some other trebic cartel member.

Not only unethical, but wholly unnecessary given the vote.

dave, zack matheny set his own precedent when he recused himself because of the relationship with dh griffin and white street. So in future if anything from dh griffin comes in front of council he needs to recuse himself, you can't have it both ways as he wants.
