I thought this was a VIP Lounge, where Matt could bring in Vegas Style Dancers, thus having something on the property that could finally generate some revenue.
There is no touching allowed in the VIP Lounge.
If it is only meant for the ACC tournament, maybe Matt could open it as a nightclub, and put all the privately owned nightclubs out of business, and then charge $5 to park to go to his nightclub, after he screws downtown businesses out of thier livelyhoods.
They should pay the city back the money the Coliseum has cost taxpayers.
Let's go park for $5 to get some $14 cocktails!!!!
It will be a private club, paid for by taxpayers, to be used to lobby City Council, the Greensboro News and Record execs and the Bryan Foundation folks.
Let's not forget the Koury's and Carroll's.
Matt Brown's own entertainment palace, where he can bring in dancers for Greensboro's elite campaign contributors and Real Estate Moguls.
The Club can serve as the bar for the Swim Parents while they wait a couple hours for their kids to be up for an event.
Now we have a $20 million pool.
Maybe the 2 days worth of News and Record Propaganda on High Point Road led up to this.
One led to the other.
They couldn't have planned it any better than that.
And the News and Record brass gets free tickets to a new taxpayer funded venue they pushed for in their paper.
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex has the following advertising trade agreements
in place for the 2010-11 Fiscal Year:
$90,000 with News & Record in exchange for Club Seats,
[and] Triad Best of Broadway season tickets...
City of Greensboro response to a Triad Watch information request
The Greensboro News and Record is the information disemination arm of the Greensboro Coliseum.
