Updaded: Information request for taxpayer funded Downtown Greensboro Inc. on City of Greensboro Councilperson Nancy Hoffman

Spoke to Nancy Hoffman today.
.
.
.
"Have you had any communications with anyone at DGI
about leasing your space?"

George Hartzman
.
.
.

Nancy Hoffman

Who from DGI has had contact with City of Greensboro Councilperson Nancy Hoffman
about leasing space in a building purchased in June, 2012 through an LLC
conected to Nancy Hoffman
down the street from what many on DGI's board of directors including Betty Cone,
aparantly very much want everyone else to pay for unless it's in the wrong spot
to be a taxpayer funded PAC?

Should a taxpayer funded entity like DGI
have conversations about doing business with someone who votes to fund DGI
and who is actively lobbied by DGI for more taxpayer funded projects
with money supplied by taxpayers?

Should Nancy Hoffman recuse herself from what?

A few Nancy Hoffman contributors

Richard Moore
Henry Isaacson
Sally Cone
Susan Robinson

If Susan Robinson is married to John Robinson, the "retired" editor,
was she allowed to contribute to local political campaigns?

The Canada Dry property is owned by Susan Robinson,
the wife of News & Record Editor John Robinson...

Amanda Lehmert

How could this this not be very good indication that Greensboro's 2011 City Council race
was manipulated by our paper of record
considering how John Robinson chose not to report the truth about Robbie Perkins
on RUCO, marital etc...?

Thomas Sloan
Marl Hyman
Susan Schwartz - Cemela

Paid Campaign Manager: Graham Sheridan

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex has the following advertising trade agreements
in place for the 2010-11 Fiscal Year:
.
$90,000 with News & Record in exchange for Club Seats,
[and} Triad Best of Broadway season tickets...

City of Greensboro response to a George Hartzman information request

"Fascism...is a radical and authoritarian nationalist political ideology.

Fascists seek to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems,
including the political system and the economy.

Fascism presents itself as a solution to the perceived benefits and disadvantages of conservatism
by advocating state-controlled modernization
that promotes orderly change while resisting the dangers to order in society of pluralism
and independent initiative.

Paxton wrote that fascism is:

a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline,
humiliation or victimhood...working in uneasy, but effective collaboration with traditional elites,
abandons democratic liberties...

...The Nazis initially attempted to form a corporatist economic system like that of Fascist Italy,
creating the National Socialist Institute for Corporatism in May 1933,
which included many major economists
who argued that corporatism was consistent with National Socialism..."

Of what most people believe to be true,
how much is?

Robbie and RUCO?

How many articles on campaign donations has the News & Record run
this election cycle?

Why didn't you run the info on the campaign contributions
tied to Bessemer Center
or the Farmers Market,
or the AMEX data center deal,
or the "shovel ready" project for Roy Carroll?

Can you feel your hypocracy John?

Do you realize you are saying "don't follow the money"?

Isn't working for a company
and taking money from those with business before City Council
which isn't allowed where Rashad Young is going
really two very different things?

You don't see that endorsements and campaign cash are aligned at all?

Are there no "special interest groups" for you?

Fact 1.

"Perkins supports...a proactive policy for rental-unit inspections...
which was overturned last summer in the General Assembly."

Editorial Board

Allen told me yesterday Robbie said he supported RUCO
and that the editorial did not say the Editorial Board says Robbie supported RUCO,
only that Robbie said Robbie supported RUCO.

Fact 2.

TREBIC worked to eliminate RUCO.

Fact 3.

Robbie funds TREBIC.

Most of Robbie's campaign donors fund TREBIC.

Fact 4.

Robbie voted at least 3 times to limit RUCO
as the RUCO Advisory Board Liason
and as a City Councilman.

Fact 5.

The taxpayer funded Greensboro Partnership is a TREBIC member.

Fact 6.

Money is fungible.

Fact 7.

Robin Saul is a Greensboro Partnership Board Member,
which funds TREBIC
and serves on the Advisory Team with registered lobbyists including Denise Turner
on the taxpayer funded Greensboro Partnerships Downtown Area Consolidated Plan Committee
whose job it is to actively lobby for increased government borrowing and spending.

Publicly Funded Greensboro Partnership Board Members, which gave the Quarter Cent Tax Committee $10,500 include Simkins PAC’s Steve Bowden, which received an illegal contribution from taxpayer funded Action Greensboro, Robin Saul, News & Record, who receives complimentary tickets to the taxpayer owned Greensboro Coliseum in return for advertizing, Simkins PAC’s? Shirley Frye, Jim Melvin, Charles E. Melvin Jr., Mr. Arthur Samet, who may have done well from School bond debt, TREBIC MEMBER Roy E. Carroll III, and Randall Kaplan, whose partner George House is a Downtown Greensboro Board Member, TREBIC MEMBER Stephen D. Showefty, President of Koury Corporation, whose employee voted to eliminate RUCO, TREBIC MEMBER Richard L. Moore, and Susan Schwartz, Cemala Foundation, and board member of the Children’s Museum, which now receives $100,000 annually from Greensboro’s taxpayers.

Fact 8.

Nancy Vaughn, Robbie Perkins, Zack Matheny,
Trudy Wade, Jim Kee, T. Dianne Bellamy-Small, Yvonne Johnson,
and Marikay Abuzaiter
recieved donations from Greensboro’s Landlords Association PAC in 2009.

Fact 9.

Robbie and Zack appointed or reappointed most of the RUCO board members
tied to the real estate industry,
which consistently voted to limit or end RUCO.

Fact 10.

The Greensboro News & Record recieved at least $96,288.47 since January 2010
from the City of Greensboro for Public Notices
which those who won wanted you to keep
and those who lost wanted you to not have any more
which your paper did not disclose.

Fact 11.

Your paper reported very litttle if anything
about Facts 1 through 10.
