Dear Roch: "Censorship"

"Censorship is the suppression of speech or other public communication
which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive,
or inconvenient to the general body of people
as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body.

The rationale for censorship is different
for various types of information censored:

Moral censorship is the removal of materials
that are obscene or otherwise considered morally questionable.

Political censorship occurs
when governments hold back information from their citizens.

How many political websites has Roch built
and maintain?

This is often done to exert control over the populace
and prevent free expression that might foment rebellion.

Corporate censorship
is the process by which editors in corporate media outlets
intervene to disrupt the publishing of information
that portrays their business or business partners in a negative light
or intervene to prevent alternate offers from reaching public exposure."

In politics, nothing happens by accident.

If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

Is it hard to get entrenched economic and political leadership
to understand,
if relative legitimacy depends on not understanding?

Can many believe what they want,
even if what they want to believe isn’t true?

If you choose not to know something,
especially if that something is something you should know,
you are morally blameworthy.

This is a perfect example of what I was talking about.

Greensboro 101 accommodates a vast variety of blogs without regard to opinion. From the hard bigotry of Joe Guarino's blog (from which I am blocked from commenting) to the outstanding intellect of Dave Ribar. Like all the other blogs on Greensboro 101, the one thing they have in common is that they communicate. That's a very low threshold to meet, in my opinion.

And there's the hard evidence above, folks, .....juvenile mindset leading to juvenile statements and actions.

The record's there for all to see.

Mr. Bob Grenier, I think making personal attacks from behind a pseudonym is juvenile.
