Notable members of the 1/4-Cent Makes Sense Steering Committee include Patrick Danahy, President and Board Member of the taxpayer funded TREBIC MEMBER Greensboro Partnership, whose Action Greensboro gave the Bonds for Schools Committee $70,000, which also gave the Quarter Cent Tax Committee $10,500, whose Greensboro Economic Development Alliance board members include Linda Shaw and Nancy Vaughan who wanted City of Greensboro to fund 75% of a federal lobbyist to benefit Partnership members.
Mr. Danahy is also a board member of taxpayer funded Downtown Greensboro, which has received funding from the Greensboro Partnership, the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation’s Jim Melvin, the Cemala Foundation’s Susan Schwartz, The Bell Foundation (Zack Matheny), TREBIC MEMBER Brown Investment Properties, some of who’s principals were involved in a questionable real estate transaction with an LLC partly owned by Robbie Perkins, which received a taxpayer grant from Guilford County’s Commissioners without public disclosure, three days before the property changed hands, while other Brown employees voted to eliminate RUCO, TREBIC MEMBER Greensboro Regional Realtors Association, Randall Kaplan's Elm Street Center, TREBIC MEMBER John Lomax, who may have done some work in exchange for public debt dollars, TREBIC MEMBER Carroll Companies, and TREBIC MEMBER Signature Property Group run by Frank Auman, who voted to eliminate rental inspections on the RUCO board.

Publicly Funded Greensboro Partnership Board Members, which gave the Quarter Cent Tax Committee $10,500 include Simkins PAC’s Steve Bowden, which received an illegal contribution from taxpayer funded Action Greensboro, Robin Saul, News & Record, who receives complimentary tickets to the taxpayer owned Greensboro Coliseum in return for advertizing, Simkins PAC’s? Shirley Frye, Jim Melvin, Charles E. Melvin Jr., Mr. Arthur Samet, who may have done well from School bond debt, TREBIC MEMBER Roy E. Carroll III, and Randall Kaplan, whose partner George House is a Downtown Greensboro Board Member, TREBIC MEMBER Stephen D. Showefty, President of Koury Corporation, whose employee voted to eliminate RUCO, TREBIC MEMBER Richard L. Moore, and Susan Schwartz, Cemala Foundation, and board member of the Children’s Museum, which now receives $100,000 annually from Greensboro’s taxpayers.
Notable members of the board of directors of the Greensboro Chamber Foundation, which Gave the Quarter Cent Tax Committee $10,000 and the Bonds for Schools Committee $30,000 in 2008, include Steve Bowden, Jim Melvin, Susan Schwartz, Denise Turner, Interim City of Greensboro Manager who was Vice President for Governmental Affairs and lobbyist for the taxpayer funded TREBIC MEMBER Greensboro Partnership which funds TREBIC with taxpayer money, Mitchell Johnson, who seriously damaged Greensboro’s Police Department, TREBIC MEMBER Lee McAllister, TREBIC MEMBER Richard Moore, TREBIC MEMBER Charles Hagan and Tim Rice
