Abner Doon, Danny Thompson, Robbie, Hoggard, Zack, Ed Cone, Spag, RUCO and Tyler Durden on The Question for Ed Cone: Did Robbie and Zack Stack the RUCO Board?

Ed Cone said...

By "pull a Danny Thompson,"
do you mean "accept 40% of his total campaign contributions
from the DH Griffin family,
while the family's business was up for the landfill contract?

'Cause I know you concern yourself greatly with that kind of stuff,
and your silence on this particular matter has been baffling.

Dear Ed Cone again:
Did Matheny and Perkins stack the RUCO Board?
Please answer the question Ed.

Ed Cone said...

I don't know what their intentions were, George.

I do know RUCO died in Raleigh,
and the Council under Mayor Knight didn't speak up loudly to save it.

Whether or not that would have made a difference I can't say,
but we don't have a two-person City Council.

Tell us what you think, or people will continue to ignore you.

That's is too funny coming from Ed,
who when asked to explain himself
regarding something he has written
starts whining and dodges giving an answer by saying
"this isn't about me".

Ed Cone is never going to write a blog post
that holds Perkins to the same standard
that he is holding Thompson and Rakestraw to.

Everyone with a brain knows that Robbie Perkins
has far more conflicts and is greased far more by people
who have a lot more business before the City Council
than Thompson or Rakestraw have.

Ed Cone['s]..., trick is to convince everyone else that he isn't biased
and is "just being reasonable".

The most effective advocates are the ones who can convince others
that they aren't advocating.

...media types know this and demonstrate it every day.

His post isn't really about the problem between donors and candidates
because if it was, he'd have far more harsh words for Perkins
instead of none at all.

That's just subterfuge for the real point of his post...

But being that honest would reveal the trick.

Tyler Durden

David Hoggard,

Did or did Robbie not screw poor renters state wide or not?

George Hartzman

Yes he did.
