Duke Power Has Rate Hike Meeting in Downtown High Point During Furniture Market , Are You Kidding Me?
HatTip FOX 8 WGHP for above report.
Duke Power has a scheduled meeting in downtown High Point on Oct. 27, 2011, at 7 p.m., High Point City Hall, Council Chambers, 211 South Hamilton St. for meetings in regards to new rate hikes for the citizens of this state. Who is the numb nut who planned a meeting during the only time in downtown High Point where you will not be able to find a parking space anywhere and you also have roads closed all over the place because of the High Point Furniture Market. This must have been a good plan by Duke Power to have this meeting during the most inopportune time you could ever have in the Triad area of N.C. to have a meeting of this importance to residents all over this area.
Of all the places to have this meeting Duke Power had to pick High Point City Hall, we will see how many people will attend this meeting especially when parking in High Point at this time is very hard to come by . This meeting is on the tail end of market but the surrounding area of City Hall is very hard to find a parking space. They should of had this meeting in Jamestown at the GTCC campus if they needed a venue that will not be in conflict with a huge event surrounding the City Hall of High Point. Thanks Duke Power on making this meeting at the worse possible.
