A few Questions for Greensboro City Council Candidates, by Allen Johnson, Editorial Page Editor of the Greensboro News & Record

"2. Why did the council use a parliamentary maneuver
to avoid voting on a resolution that would have supported RUCO,
the city’s successful, now-doomed rental property inspections ordinance?

4. Did Mary Rakestraw really find a redistricting map on her doorstep and, if so,
does she really expect anybody to believe that?

5. Why did the council close its eyes and cover its ears
when asked this simple question:
Wouldn’t it make sense to at least know how much it would cost for the city
to operate its own landfill as opposed to a private company?"
