City of Greensboro Public Information Request

The proper operation of municipal government
requires that members of the governing body be honest, impartial, fair, and responsible
to the citizens;
that governmental decisions and policies
be made in proper channels of the governmental structure;
that public office not be used for personal gain;
and that the public have confidence in the integrity of its local government.

Could UNC's Frayda S. Bluestein and Rita Danish
be any more wrong
on Robbie Perkins conflict of interest on the White Street Landfill issue?

WHEREAS, to protect the integrity of governmental decisions
and to promote public confidence
with respect to the impartiality and the fairness of those decisions,
it is deemed in the best interest of the city to establish minimum standards
that the mayor and members of the city council shall follow
to avoid conflicts of interest, or the appearance thereof,
in governmental decision-making.

on Robbie's conflict of interest on the White Street Landfill:

…WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of the City Council recognize
that it is important for the citizens of Greensboro to know that when they act
the decisions and the policies are not made for personal gain,
in order that the public will have confidence in the integrity of its local government…

What are Rashad Young's thoughts
on J. Rita McNeil Danish's opinion of Robbie Perkin's
potential conflicts of interest?

The Mayor or any member of the City Council who has a financial interest,
direct or indirect,
in any official act or action before the Council shall,
…disclose such interest and all material facts with respect there
to the City Manager and City Attorney.

Please provide City Council Member Robbie Perkins' disclosure
of "all material facts" relative to the White Street Landfill issue,
received by the "City Manager and City Attorney."


Please provide City Attorney Rita Danish's disclosure
of "all material facts" relative to the White Street Landfill issue
sent to UNC's Frayda S. Bluestein.

In addition, he/she shall publicly disclose on the record of the Council
the nature and extent of such interest,
including the full disclosure of all such material facts,
and shall withdraw from any consideration of the matter pursuant to sec. 4.131
of the City Charter.

Please provide "the record of the Council"
"all material facts" relative to the White Street Landfill issue
"publicly disclosed" by Robbie Perkins.
