Take from the many, and give to the few.

Richard Beard has given campaign contributions to both Robbie Perkins and Zack Matheny.

So if everybody doesn't mind, let's pick up the tab for his sidewalks.

Should Marlene Sanford identify herself as a lobbyist when addressing City Council?

THe "public" clears teh streests at Rock Creek.

g said...

Should Robbie Perkins disclose that he is a TREBIC Member when questioning TREBIC's Marlene Sanford?

g said...

Can Robbie vote for a sidewalk ordinance if he is a commercial real estate broker?

g said...

If a property is exempt, and then annexed, who has to pay for the sidewalk?

g said...

I just don't want Greensboro's taxpayers to get stuck with the bill.

g said...

what other projects was AMEX shown, other than two Greensboro insiders?

g said...

Trudy wade with the "who gets stuck with the bill" question on who pays for the sidewalks if in the city's limits.

Dick disagrees.

Adam says the way TREBIC wants it, taxpayers get stuck.

Robbie defends TREBIC. Ergo, does he want the public to pick up the tab?

It's like Marlene doing the questioning.

Jim Kee acknowledges the Conflict between some of his campaign contributors and the public that could get stuck with the bill.

Danny clarifies. Does that mean if a councilperson votes for TREBIC's proposal , they understand the taxpayers pick up the tab after annexation.

Marlene Sanford: TREBIC wants to exempt all industrial parks from sidewalk requirement, even ones inside city limits. #gso

robbie perkins during water talk talks about how greensboro is one of the best in regards to helping out developers and wow what a statement when the fox trebic is guarding the hen house which is greensboro

Water Rates.

will there be mention of the Jordan Lake rules?

$70 million by 2016, and $2 million per year?

Are they going to talk about that?

Robbie is for sticking taxpayers for sidewalks, but against lowering water rates?

g said...

Zack's for the water rate cut, but for more money to pay for his security priorities?

No mention of our credit rating?

g said...

Is anyobne going to ask for the $70 million hit for Jordan Lake rules?

Jim Kee for the cut. Don't blame him a bit.

Was Mike Baron right?

Wade goes for what she can get. Pragmatic...

Remember, we will be reducing the rate and not paying down debt with the money.

Does Robbie want to put the money aside to provide incentives to some commericial real estate sales?

Will vote against based on the profit prinicple for his personal interests?

They say "stakeholders" a lot.

"I'm not really sure what it would mean for the city council to endorse the Heart of the Triad plan"

It's all about linking the regional plan with the stakeholders with the technical committee with Kee, Matheny and Perkins.

In coordination with High Point and Winston.

Wade: why did the residences hate it and now do?

Joint land use plan for development?

Did Greensboro pick up 50% of the tab for consultants?

g said...

Jimmy Morgan is intense.

Credible.

Honest.

Like the emphasis on the watersheds.

Can Robbie make a good man look crooked?

g said...

Why were Trudy and Mary against?

What do they think that others didn't?

Did somebody miss something?

g said...

Wade and Rakestraw vote against aquatic center money.

g said...

There are already ordinances in place?

$50 to $200 for loitering?

$50 to $200 for urination?

18 and under banned from "activity" from 11pm to 6am.

Freedom of asembly an exception?

Why not enforce laws already on the books/

Mike Shifton - manages and owns downtown properties.

He is for all the proposals.

"publickly funded" DGI

"public perception"

Roy - will be moving into taxpayer funded penthouse downtown, across from a privately owned, publicly maintained park, across from the publicly funded ice rink, which, (hopefully) will sell some of Centerpoint's condos.

we just want to not fund any more taxpayer money for joke of the triad

no 24 hour diner or grocery store.

guy is a chef. 17 year old son.

already have laws on the books.

May exclude new entrepranurs.

you can die for your country, but can't hang out downtown after 11pm?

"let's not throw this at everybody"

"$200,instead of $50, isn't going to get someone to not urinate in the parking lot"

"let 'stakeholders' form a 'downtown watch'

"children arn't inherently bad"

"you've made a mockery of yourselves"

a veteren "slap in the face with curfews"

"It's condeseding of you with kids to consider this"

"to deny our kids freedoms that we fought for,...goodnight"

g said...

Betty Cone supports curfew.

Betty is on DGI's Board.

did anyone see any minorities stand for Betty?

April Harris, Action Greensboro, which gave $70,000 to the School bond committee.

Are the police asking for additional tools?

additional ordinances?

"recomendations well thought out and have approval of "stakeholders"

These people speaking for the curfew are lunatics.

Upper middle aged guy who is an investor in Center City Pointe talked about people "hanging out" and how that keeps people from going downtown.

What a friggin' old fart. In his generation hanging out was called the sock hop or cruising main street.

Hanging out is a rite of passage. The only reason I enjoy going downtown is to people watch. I can eat anywhere but it's the atmosphere of all colors that makes downtown attractive.

teen Inferno gets out at 12, if not later.

Teen Green street went to about 1 last friday night on the 12th.

Susan Schwartz seems to be mistaken about everything ending at about 11.

my 16 year old says she is not talking about kids her age.

It's not the children's museuam.

why didn't she mention the places that let out after 11?

g said...

Will the kids get in more trouble by trying to get around a curfew?

"Like kids who have their 9's on, if their parents say "do what you want," they are going to do it."

"this isn't effecting the population it's supposed to."

Why do they want to constrict us"

Always follow the money. The city Center Pointe folks want to have downtown to themselves. To have to put up with crowds of other ethnic and age groups when they take a stroll away from their condos at night is NOT what they had in mind when they sunk millions into their project.

This is selective governance for a small group of people and is being pushed through council by their sycophantic elected officials.

Trudy - High Point Road vs. Downtown.
