The top 1% of all wage earners pay for more than 40% of all income taxes! Nearly 50% dont pay any. Will you be happy when top 1% pay for the other 99%?

I'm glad we have other taxes that are collected for those that dont pay income taxes. When he goes and buys his brand new SUV, he at least pays a sales tax and a liscense tax. When he fills up that SUV with gas, he pays gas tax. When he buys the brand new HD flat screen so he can watch NFL and kids can play Xbox, he pays sales tax. When he pays for cable TV every month, he pays cable fee. When he buys the family all smart phones, he pays sales tax and also phone tax. Buy thay bottle of booze or six pack of beer, pay the sales and alcohol tax. At least we are getting some taxes paid for those that dont pay income taxes but want to spend, spend, spend and not save like they should.

When you condition a society that they dont have to pay or work for anything, you are creating a worthless, unproductive society. Some might call this socialism.

You and I will disagree on income tax cuts because you think the top should pay more. I dont. Just because the government will collect more money if taxes are raised, doesnt mean that the money will be spent on deficit reduction.

In my house, I dont spend what I dont have. No debt, period. Save 60-70% after tax income. Put away saving for childrens education. I dont expect government to provide for my retirement either. Do that myself.

I appreciate your cause for the children but to takes more of someone elses hard earned money and give it to your children and others is wrong in my book. I'll provide for mine and you provide for yours.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7094922047296526858.post-8149042256261867122010-12-16T07:54:47.742-05:002010-12-16T07:54:47.742-05:00"I'm for taxcuts for all that pay income ..."I'm for taxcuts for all that pay income taxes."

Regardless of the costs to our children?

"They earned that money. They earned that money. Let them keep it and do with it what they want. The government will waste it. The top 1% of all wage earners pay nearly 40% of all income taxes. Almost half of the potential tax payers pay no income tax. Seems fair to me.

Why dont you focus your efforts on the spending side. You cant keep spending forever.

If you are worried about your children, provide for them. I'm not worried about anyone elses except my own and I will do what I can to help them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
